Gmail Priority Inbox Hits Mobile Safari

Today, Google released their Priority Inbox feature for mobile Safari on iDevices. The Gmail webapp for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad now has Priority Inbox support.

Priority Inbox helps users in managing an overloaded email inbox by automatically identifying important messages so users can see them first. The feature has been available for the desktop Gmail and Android devices, but support has finally come our way.

Once set up in the desktop version of Gmail, using the ‘Menu’ selection, you will see Priority Inbox sections when visiting gmail.com through mobile Safari. You will also see the importance markers in your inbox such as “important and read” or “important and unread”.
