How to Remove Twitter Quick Bar from iPhone: Twizzler via Cydia
Did you update to the latest iPhone version of twitter? Then you probably noticed the new Quick Bar. Personally, I don’t like it. The bar gets in the way of scrolling for tweets and reduces the size of my timeline.
iOS developer @chpwn appears to have felt the same way. He just created a tweak called Twizzler that removes the Quick Bar. It’s free and downright awesome.

How to install Twizzler? Easy. Just search for it in Cydia and install it. It’ll require a restart of your Springboard. Launch twitter, and the Quick Bar will no longer be there.

Gary, what twitter app do you have as a screenshot? The one where you quoted chpwn
Simplytweet. The best iPhone twitter app.
It’s funny. As soon as something new and innovative comes along, there’s a bunch of old men, who hate change, right on top of it, to get rid of it. 😛
Just kidding. I’m not a fan of it, either. In fact, I don’t even use the Twitter app. SimplyTweet is the best!!
My recommendation… Don’t bother hacking the lame feature lacking version. Uninstall and start using something that fits your mood more. Hootsuite is my fav… It lacks only the ability to post PICS to FB as pictures and not links. Alternatively, there’s Yoono. Has the feature above, but refreshes to the most recent tweet. Waiting too see which one wins my loyalty with an update. 😉
Does your phone need to be jailbroken for this?
