You Can Now Jailbreak iOS 16.4.1 with Palera1n 2.0.0 Beta 6
Codenamed Bakepale, the latest v2.0.0 beta 6 update to jailbreak tool Palera1n has just been released, which fully supports iOS 16.4 - iOS 16.4.1 jailbreak.
iOS 4.3 Untethered Jailbreak Coming “Before Next Weekend”
@i0n1c, aka Stefan Esser previously revealed to the world his untethered iOS 4.3 jailbreak on his iPad. Esser has added an update via his YouTube video that the ETA for releasing his untethered jailbreak would be ‘before next weekend’:

I am pretty sure that the untether will be released before the next weekend. I was using older kernel patches that caused lagging on the jailbroken device. I will change that and then port it to the other devices and release.
This is awesome news! It’s also interesting to note that @comex jailbroke the iPad 2 tonight, and also helped @i0n1c to fix lagging on his iPhone 4 running his current jailbreak.
Esser goes on to mention via twitter:
I am pretty sure the first reaction of the Apple Techs analysing my untether exploit binary will be: WTF!?!
Currently @i0n1c is working on his jailbreak, as he also noted that the installation of Winterboard would caused his iPhone to no longer boot, but SBSettings works perfectly.
I applaud the hard work of all these guys and their work with the jailbreak game. It’s truly impressive.

It amazes me how quick these guys can work. I might actually get in line on the 25th, now. 🙂
So basically you can have a jb iphone so long as u don’t want to “theme” it or do any tweaks via Winterboard. Still plenty of other mods are possible tho! SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait! And yes Gary……ditto………Bravo to these techies!!!!!

Once Winterboard and mobilesubstrate are fixed I’ll update to 4.3 and jailbreak.
Same thing was said with the 4.2 JB before Christmas, yet it was released more than a month later. I wouldn’t expect any stable untethered JB until April.
I said this back in iOS 4.2 also. NOooo! dont release it yet, sit on it for a little longer.
The first patch always comes pretty quick, and 4.3 JB wont be fully functional anyways.
Lots of people wont even jump on 4.3 due to their already jailbroken 4.2.1 loaded with all their bests apps.
Hold it tightly, wait for the first 4.3.1 patch then release it. we already heard about slider bar glitches, possible Day light savings glitch and who knows what others will dig up.
