VoiceMan: Tracks Your Voice Minutes in Real Time [Contest]
Tracking your allotted voice minutes are pretty important in Canada, since overages can be costly. Thankfully, there’s a new app for that from the makers of DataMan. The new app is called VoiceMan and it tracks your minutes in real time and sends notifications when you’re close to exceeding your limits.
Here are the key features of VoiceMan:
? Real-time automated usage alerts. You will be alerted immediately after a call, if you exceed your usage thresholds. Stop paying for overages.
? Always up-to-date usage statistics. VoiceMan gets your usage statistics directly from the iOS phone system. Thus no more getting outdated and delayed usage reports from your carrier.
? Precisely track your daily, weekly and monthly voice usage, including used and free minutes. You can also see the duration of any call down to the exact second.
? Geotag. See where and when you made or received a call. Handy when you travel and roam.
? Customize. 4 levels of usage thresholds and 3 mobile minute allowances (daily, weekly and monthly) for you to set to suit your voice plan.
? Work with all carriers. No login is required to your carrier’s website.
? Support per-second billing, per-minute billing, free incoming calls, free night and weekend minutes.
VoiceMan will help you track your minutes well if you don’t want to run the risk of going over on minutes. The app is a bit ‘pricey’ at $3.99.

The only feature that looks like it is missing is to be able to exclude “Fav 5” or “Fav 10” or Family plans minutes.
Looks like a great app! Can’t wait to get the promo codes. =o)
Sounds great ! God Damn Rogers will hate it !!!

why can’t you exclude fav 5? sounds like the app needs a bit more work
I bought this app a while back, and it’s a nice addition to my iPhone. It’s worth noting, though, the many disadvantages of the app, some which could probably be worked on and some which could not:
– No way to exclude certain numbers (MY5, your carrier’s customer service number, etc.)
– Needs to be open in the background in order to work, so if iOS closes it due to memory constraints or you reboot your phone, you’ll have to remember to reopen it.
– Doesn’t update until the call is terminated. So it’s not truly instant overage notification.
But the app is still worth trying (especially if it’s free :-))!

Hi Gary, any chance to get a promo code?:)
Personally I think this app is not very useful for some people like me due to the lack of functions to cover all the plans, such as someone has mentioned here the Fav 5 or 10. For me, I have Fav 5 and unlimited incoming call and 300 anytime minutes, and I never exceed the minutes. I feel it is too expensive to pay $3.99 to keep track of my usage. If it’s only $0.99, I may pay for it once it’s updated to cover all plans. For now, I won’t use it even it’s free.
I have it and it has an option for unlimited incoming calls, unfortunately my my5/10 yet.
