Untethered iPad 3/iOS 5.1 Jailbreak On the Way?

Stefan Esser, also known as @i0n1c has teased that he has an untethered jailbreak for the iPad 3. He recently showed off pics of an iPad 2 jailbroken on iOS 5.1. In response the Musclenerd’s recent post of his jailbroken iPad 3, i0n1c had this to say:

This is great news! A bit of cat and mouse, within the jailbreak community, means more hackers working on getting us a new jailbreak. With the iPad 3 jailbroken on iOS 5.1, we can assume these jailbreaks will work on the iPhone 4s on iOS 5.1, as well as earlier devices. We have gotten used to initial releases being tethered and than waiting a while for an untethered update, but if i0n1c has found an untethered jailbreak already, we’ve got a great head start! We are still a long way from a release, but we’ll keep you updated. If i0n1c does post a video, we will most definitely share it with you.
