Incase Bird’s Nest Snap Case [REVIEW]

Looking at the Apple Store’s wall of iPhone cases, if you haven’t purchased one of the cases offered by Incase, you probably haven’t because you probably went for a cheaper option.

Incase’s prices might seem a little steep, but I’ve experienced second-hand the quality of some of the other cases offered in the Apple Store.  My sister purchased a case from an unnamed manufacturer and she went through two of them until I handed her down an old Incase Slider case I bought two years ago for my iPhone 4 – still in amazing condition.

On first glance, one of Incase’s featured cases, The Bird’s Nest case might look rather flimsy but is in fact rather sturdy.  I also noticed that my iPhone does not heat up as much thanks to the breathability of the case.

Some online reviewers have complained that paint has started to chip, or cracks have developed.  But after dropping my phone twice in a week, I’m glad to say neither has happened with the chrome-coloured case.

The Bird’s Nest Case does leave the top and bottom of your iPhone exposed, but the snug fit protects your iPhone 4 / 4S very well (as Incase Snap Case users can attest to).  I also find that the bulk of some cases prohibit comfortable texting, which is not a problem thanks to the Bird’s Nest’s slim profile.

This case is definitely one people notice, and one colleague pointed out to me that this one reminds him of the infamous Bird’s Nest Stadium from the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.  The funky design is available in chrome, white and red.

This stylish case is a great option if you don’t want the added weight other cases add to your iPhone.  It is available at the Apple Store, and other local shops carrying the Incase line.
