Pod2g Confirms iPhone 4S On iOS 5.1.1 Jailbroken

We’ve got another update on pod2g‘s upcoming jailbreak. Earlier this morning pod2g posted on Twitter that he has confirmed his jailbreak to be working on the iPhone 4S, on iOS 5.1.1.

We can expect more and more updates, as they test all devices that run iOS 5.1.1. Earlier, we told you about pod2g’s blog update with his new jailbreak F.A.Q. Pod2g says his new jailbreak should be out in a couple of weeks. We still have no real details on what the final jailbreak tool will be called, what it will look like, or it’s ease of use. In the past pod2g and The Chronic Dev Team have given us a single click jailbreak tool, so hopefully this new jailbreak will be that simple, as well.

This new jailbreak will support iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad 2, the new iPad, and iPod Touch 4th gen, on iOS 5.1.1. No support for iPhone 3GS or iPod Touch 3rd gen in this new tool. The later 2 devices can already be jailbroken, untethered with Redsn0w.
