Shocker: iOS Hacker p0sixninja Quits Chronic-Dev Team

Renowned iOS hacker and key member of Chronic-Dev Team Joshua Hill, more commonly known as @p0sixninja, has just announced his departure from the team on twitter. Popular iPhone / iPad jailbreak tool greenpois0n is one of the biggest highlights of Chronic-Dev Team and p0sixninja has been one of the leading developers behind it. It is no question that p0sixninja has played an extremely large part in the development of jailbreaks and has helped find numerous exploits as well as exploit finding tools. Unfortunately, he will no longer be working with Chronic-Dev Team.

Here’s what he tweeted:

In another tweet he added:

While he hasn’t detailed his reason for quitting Chronic-Dev Team, it appears to be an issue related to accusations of money making with jailbreak development or something like that. However, he hasn’t mentioned whether he’ll continue contributing to the jailbreak community or not, alone or as a part of another team. For now, we can only hope we don’t lose another leading name in jailbreak world like comex and geohot.
