Apple Expands Their Volume Purchase Program To Nine More Countries Including Canada
The Apple Volume Purchase Program has recently expanded to nine new countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom. Many of our readers probably aren’t too knowledgeable on this Apple service, but allow us to explain.
This service is aimed at businesses and education institutions looking to purchase applications or books in bulk. Once enrolled in the program, the administrators can freely distribute products among students or workers.
Here is how books/applications are distributed through institutions:
After making a purchase, Program Facilitators receive a unique code for each app or book. Codes can then be distributed to students, teachers, administrators, or anyone at the institution who will be using the apps or books.
On the user-end, the coupon codes in which are handed-out are equivalent to the promo-codes we give away on a weekly basis. Users just have to enter a code instead of paying cash.
The program doesn’t typically provide discounts when purchasing in bulk, it’s used more to enhance the purchase process. Also on the positive side, companies won’t have to constantly send out reimbursements to employees for work/school related purchases. Individual application developers can choose whether they provide discounts to education institutes.
