With the iPhone hitting the market officially tomorrow, what mobile plan do you have in mind? If you’re a Virgin Mobile user, feast your eyes on their new limited-edition 6 GB add-on plan for $30 monthly.
New and existing postpaid customers who are part of the 20 “choice plans,” not including the “Awesome 40” and “All-in-One” plans are eligible for the deal. It runs from now until September 30th, so grab it quick!
Virgin Mobile also has another special deal they are offering on the market called the “Smartphone 73 – 6 GB” plan. It ends on September 30th also, so hurry!
Does this deal sound good or what?

where is fido in all this ._.
Rumour has it that the other major carriers will release a plan similar too.
I second, the where is fido in matching these plans or is it another call to retentions. It’s like pulling teeth with these guys, Ihad to call retentions for an early upgrade and probably again to get a better phone plan.
yah ive very politetly called customer service and retentions and advised them of other companies offering the 30 for 6 with no result…
That 73 dollar plan should have left at the beginning of the week. Plan is $75 and is the same as the $73 except call display and visual voicemail (iPhone/blackberry android is reg VM) is included.
Is Bell going to have this plan? I don’t want a “fab” plan because my corporate voice plan is great… Would love to pay $5 extra for 12x the data though!
How does this work for someone with no existing plan? can I just pay $30 a month and pick up the iP5 32gb on a 3 year contract for $289. That would then give me just data where I could use google voice for phone service if I desire?
Not with Virgin. You will need to go on a combo plan to get the iPhone 5 initially. You would also not get the full subsidy going on a choice plan with addon
More broadly, for someone with no existing plan what is the cheapest way to get 200min/1GB data, VM/CD. DOn’t think I can use WInd, etc. as live in Burlington, ON and travel north quite a bit
Virgin’s $35 unlimited incoming play with pay per use data. Plan is Canada wide and you can add VM/CD. You would pay an extra $20 for the data. So plan would be $55. If you wanted unlimited text you would need to pay an extra $5. You won’t get a full subsidy on a smartphone though with that plan.
