As we previously noted the iPad mini Smart Cover was ready for shipping in up to 2 business days which is way before the eagerly awaited 7.9-inch tablet started arriving for customers. Yet today, a lucky French customer notified iGen.fr about his surprise: the iPad mini arrived!

As the reader points out, the white Wi-Fi only iPad mini was pre-ordered through the French website (authorized Apple reseller) Darty. Other resellers have also received their iPad mini shipments like Auchan, the French website informs.

The lucky owner’s first impression of the iPad mini:
The new Apple tablet is very light when you’re used to traditional iPad. And the finish is remarkable!
Although the pictures doesn’t show, we previously reported that the iPad mini will ship with a regular 5W USB Power Adapter, like the one you use to charge your iPhone. 9to5Mac however, claims they have heard from an internal source that Apple will ship the device with a 12W power adapter for faster charging.
Are you counting down the minutes until the iPad mini arrives? We surely are!
