The update notes as follows:

  • LTE support for more carriers
  • Purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri (US only)
  • iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs via iCloud
  • New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

Update: Apple has issued a press release for iOS 6.1:

“iOS 6 is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and with nearly 300 million iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices on iOS 6 in just five months, it may be the most popular new version of an OS in history,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “iOS 6.1 brings LTE support to more markets around the world, so even more users can enjoy ultrafast Safari browsing, FaceTime video calls, iCloud services, and iTunes and App Store downloads.”

Curious when we’ll get an update to the map with better data interaction and accuracy.

you wouldn’t know, it’s all their backend server work on serving you the data.

However, an update is needed, if Apple decide to allow offline map

Yes! I am an iTunes Match Subscriber so I am excited to finally have the individual song download option back that they took away since iOS 5!
