TypeStatus: Add iMessage ‘Now Typing’ Indicator To Status Bar [Cydia]

A brand new jailbreak tweak called TypeStatus is coming to the Cydia store, that lets you see the “now typing” indicator in the status bar when one of your friends is replying to a message using iMessage (via iDownloadBlog). Once you have the tweak installed on your device, you don’t need to have the Messages app open to see the three dots (…) indicating a reply is being typed by the other person.

The tweak basically moves the ellipsis indicator (…) to the iPhone’s status bar, making it viewable anywhere the status bar can be seen. Whether you’re playing a game or using an app, you can always know if the person you’re having a conversation with is replying or not.

The tweak will be available on one of Cydia’s default repos and should be available as a free download in the next few days. Meanwhile, here’s a video preview of the TypeStatus tweak in action :
