Bell has upped its latest offer for students, now offering $10 off per month on Voice & Data Lite 60 and 75 plans, eligible towards upgrades or new activations for the duration of your contract. Here’s what these plans offer (note the $50 plan is Quebec only):

Voice & Data Lite 50 (ONLY IN QUEBEC)

  • Unlimited local minutes
  • 1GB of shareable data; overages at $0.05/MB
  • Call display, Message Centre Lite, Call Waiting, Conference Calling
  • Unlimited Wi-Fi at Bell hotspots
  • $35 activation fee applies
  • $50 per month

Voice & Data Lite 60

  • Unlimited nationwide minutes
  • 500MB of shareable data (normally 250MB); overages at $0.05/MB
  • Call display, Message Centre Lite, Call Waiting, Conference Calling
  • Unlimited Wi-Fi at Bell hotspots
  • $35 activation fee applies
  • $60 per month

Voice & Data Lite 75

  • Unlimited nationwide minutes
  • 2GB of shareable data (normally 1GB); overages at $0.05/MB
  • Call display, Message Centre Lite, Call Waiting, Conference Calling
  • Unlimited Wi-Fi at Bell hotspots
  • $35 activation fee applies
  • $75 per month

Students get an extra $10 off per month. If they bring their own devices, that’s another 10% off. If you’re a student in Quebec, the $50 plan looks pretty good as you’ll get it for $36 per month if you bring your own device. Not bad for an unlimited nationwide plan with 1GB of data.

Let us know if you’re going to jump on these student offers.

Thanks Rob!

The only good deal I see for the rest of us (not in Quebec) is the Fido 65 buck one. But for now I am paying that for 6 gigs so not going to change.
Wait, I didn’t see if visual voice mail on the iPhone is part of message center lite?

36$ with BYOD. I don’t think it’s possible to get a high end device such as a gs4 or i5 on a two year contract tho

When is it going to end ? I’m thinking of dealing this amazing 50$ plan with a new Iphone 5S when it’s out.

I just got back from the Bell store, and as it turns out you can have only one of the promotions: $10 off or 10% off for bringing your own device. I was told the way it works is that the $10 promotion is only valid if you sign a contract, whereas the 10% off only applies if you don’t have a contract. But still $40 is decent value.

Interesting…from what I’ve heard you can stack the BYOD and student offers.

I thought I’d try my luck calling Bell to see if they could do something for me, but apparently what I was told at the Bell store is how it works. I still switched to it though; not as good value as my $60 unlimited talk/text and 3GB of data, but I was paying for far more than I actually needed.
