Applauze is a beautiful app. After you open Applauze and sign-in you’re immediately shown events in your area. Using the menu bars at the top and bottom of the screen you can refine what events are shown. For example, you can have only concerts in and around Toronto listed, or show all events in your area coming soon. Also, Applauze saves your credit card information, so buying tickets only takes a few taps. Which might be bad news for people prone to impulse buying.
I had an easy time using Applauze. I had no trouble finding lots of events in my area, although they were mostly at large venues. I liked that the menu bars at the top and bottom of the screen moved out of view when I scrolled down through the event list, as this gave me a full view of the poster images of the events. One more thing, though Applauze is officially only available in 5 major Canadian cities (Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver) I was also able to find events in London, Kitchener, Guelph and Hamilton. So I believe it’s safe to say that if you live near an established venue you’ll be able to buy tickets to events there through Applauze.
