Gogo’s In-Flight Network Now Live Over Canada

Gogo, a global leader in in-flight connectivity, has expanded its reach into Canada. In December we reported WestJet was in talks with Gogo to bring in-flight Wi-Fi to Canada.

The first phase of its Canadian air-to-ground networks are currently live with the remaining phases to go live by the end of Q1 2014. The network will offer seamless services for flights between Canada and the U.S. in partnership with select airlines, which have yet to be announced.

Gogo’s technology will be able to deliver speeds of 70Mbps, which they believe will be the best performance in-flight networking service available for Canadian and U.S. markets.
