Online Apple Store Updated with “Shop Accessories” Section

As some of you will have noticed, the online Apple Store was down during the night. The reason was visible as of this morning: the iPhone maker has updated the store with a new section dedicated to all kind of accessories.

The change, “Shop Accessories”, was first spotted by an AppleInsider reader. The new section appeared during the right, near the recently added Shop Apple TV tab. Users clicking on the section will be redirected to an All accessories page, where they can find accessories of any type all in one place: from crossbody cases, though Nike+ Fuelband SE, and Philips Hue bulbs.

The page also has five tabs: All accessories, Apple accessories, Exclusives, Now trending and Gift Cards. The latter allows users to send both Apple Store and iTunes gift cards via email.

The accessories section was previously accessible from iPhone, iPad, and Mac subpages.
