As noticed by the French blog iGeneration, Apple has introduced discounts in its education store for the iPad Air and the iPad mini.
The entry-level iPad Air’s standard prices start at $519, the iPad mini’s at $419. With this promotion, Apple customers can save $20, as the devices start at $499 and $399 respectively. The promo isn’t limited to the latest models: those after cheaper iPads can purchase a16 GB Wi-Fi iPad 4 for $379 (previously $399), or the first-generation iPad mini for $299 (usually retails for $319).

As part of the education promo, Apple previously dropped the price of the non-Retina MacBook Pro by $200 since last year, alongside other discounts in the education store. To take advantage of the aforementioned pricing, Apple customers need to be employees of K-12 schools (homeschool teachers included), students, or parent of students in postsecondary education.
