Father’s Day is this Sunday and if you can’t shell out for an iPad for dad, Amazon.ca is holding a sale on their Kindle Fire HD and HDX tablets, which offer pretty good hardware for the price.

Here’s what’s on sale and their entry level pricing:

• 7-inch Kindle Fire HD, 8GB – $129 ($20 off)
• 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX, 16GB – $224 ($30 off)
• 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HDX, 16GB – $359 ($40 off)

All of these Kindle Fire tablets come with free shipping. Interestingly, the e-ink Kindle reader isn’t on sale for Father’s Day, but it was for Mother’s Day. I guess Amazon thinks dads would rather have Kindle Fire tablets instead?
