Pangu Untethered iOS 7.1.1 Jailbreak for Mac Download Released
Five days ago a team of Chinese hackers known as Pangu released an untethered iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak that was only available for Windows. Today, the team has released the same tool for Mac OS X, but also changed up a few things in the update, along with adding support for English:
Update Description 1.1.0
Added English support.
Optimized the file size.
Fixed the boot loop bug.
Using new info leak bug instead of @i0n1c’s.
Added online self verification.
The Pangu team’s untethered iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak was achieved by using exploits detailed by Stefan Esser (@i0n1c) as part of a training course, which the latter was not too happy about.
Today’s Mac release removes @i0n1c’s exploits and utilizes other ones, which apparently the Pangu team purchased. These exploits were unnecessarily ‘burned’ in this minor update (instead of saving them for iOS 7.1.2), meaning Apple sees them and can patch them in the next iOS update.
A big part of their jailbreak is based on the techniques I train at the training, which is perfectly fine because that is what they paid for

However, @i0n1c says the exploit still uses his name and some of his jailbreak functions in the code.
So new Pangu most probably kills more bugs, which is a shame because they needlessly killed various infoleaks from the training.

According to MuscleNerd, the jailbreak utilizes expired enterprise certificates, which the hacker says the iPhone Dev Team avoids “for legal reasons”:
The use of the (expired) enterprise certificate is the most unique part of Pangu JB (but it’s something we avoid for legal reasons)

The Pangu jailbreak originally came bundled with a pirated Chinese App Store which was removed in this update. If you’re desperate for an untethered iOS 7.1.1 jailbreak, Pangu looks to be the solution for you. But of course, jailbreaking comes with risks so use this Chinese software with caution.
