Today, Microsoft announced updates for its OneNote application on iOS and Mac OS X.

The update, which is available starting today and is focused on business and school, improves on the updates that were released in May making it the best choice for users to stay organized and take notes.

Mac-OneDrive-for-Business

The most notable new feature is OneDrive for Business support on Mac OS X. Users can now access all of their notebooks stored in OneDrive for Business or SharePoint Online (on Office 365) directly on their Mac.

On both iOS and Mac, users can now insert PDF files into their notebooks, view password protected files, and move pages and organize you notebook how ever you want.

“On iPad or iPhone you can insert pictures or documents you receive in Mail or other apps by selecting ‘Open in OneNote.’ That way, even on the go, you are never losing track of important documents relevant to the project you are working on within OneNote.”

On Mac OS X, users now have the ability to share individual pages via email while keeping the HTML formatting. On iOS, users will have a new streamlined experience allowing them to access files across OneDrive and OneDrive for Business a lot faster.
