MTS has announced its 4G LTE network is now live in the city of Flin Flon, part of ongoing expansion to rural communities in Manitoba, which have reached 13 so far this year.
“I’m pleased that another Manitoba community will now enjoy the benefits that MTS’s fastest wireless network has to offer,” said MTS President Kelvin Shepherd. “LTE offers data speeds that are significantly faster than the current HSPA+ technology, ensuring customers enjoy their new LTE smartphones to the fullest.”
The carrier says over 850,000 people have access to the company’s 4G LTE network, which also launched last week in Carman. Yesterday, MTS announced its wireless devices are now available within The Mobile Shop kiosks inside Real Canadian Superstore locations.
