Alleged 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Rear Shell Leaks in Hands-On Video

Ever since Apple sent out invitations for the September 9 event, the blogosphere has been buzzing with fresh iPhone 6 information leaks. However, the majority of the focus has been on the 4.7-inch version of the iPhone 6. Steve Hemmerstoffer, editor-in-chief of French site Nowhereelse — the author of many iPhone 6 image leaks — has, however, posted the first hands-on video of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 rear shell.

The video completes the set of images already leaked by the French site earlier in August. What’s noteworthy, however, is that the measurements seem to match the dimensions leaked by another French site, iGeneration.

Back then we questioned the authenticity of the leaks, but the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 rear shell obtained by Nowhereelse, has the same dimensions specified there: 158 x 78 x 7.1 mm. The sources speaking with the French site say the iPhablet will allegedly be called iPhone Air…

Does this mean that the nightmare of many—the strips and the protruding camera—will materialize? We’ll find out in just nine days…
