Kids Break a Bunch of iPhone 6’s at Apple Store Testing ‘Bendgate’ [VIDEO]

Two teens, Kylie and Danny, who decided to put the iPhone 6 ‘bendgate’ controversy to the test, have broken at least four iPhone 6’s in the course of a 4-minute folly, causing over $2,500 worth of criminal damage at an Apple Store (via The Daily Dot). What’s even more stupid is that the two kids uploaded a video of themselves carrying out these acts in an Apple store to YouTube, while showing their faces and referring to one another by name.

“The pair presumably eventually realized their actions might have consequences, and have deleted the original video. But the Internet never forgets. An automatic Reddit mirroring service means a video record of their monumental stupidity has been captured and shared publicly, for all the world to laugh at”.

Funniest of all, Kylie defends his actions against the fact they might be doing something illegal by saying, “We were in the Apple store bending and breaking their iPhone, which is like criminal damage I guess. I don’t even care to be honest, because it’s Apple’s fault”.

Looks like the two missed the Wall Street analyst Walter Piecyk’s recent remarks on Twitter who also tried to bend some display model iPhone 6’s in an Apple store:

That guy is insane! He’s bound to end up with some kind of health illness after playing with mercury & a Galaxy phone, smashing up Galaxy S5 while inhaling the fumes from a spraying Li-Ion battery and tries to recharge an iPhone using the microwave.

I’m so tired of this #Bendgate… And Apple never said the iPhone was not able to bend: they said “With normal use a bend in iPhone is extremely rare”. The keyword is “Normal use”!

I have to say all this #bendgate, is kinda entertaining to see how stupid people could be trying to get their 15 minutes of fame…. with stupid of fakes videos….

Yes these kids are stupids… but for me, the guy trying twice (2 videos) to bend the iPhone 6 plus and telling us how the Motorola is better is priceless… Sorry, it’s easy to figure how fake the videos are… (the Time on the phone is not working for the 1st video and swapping iPhone is reflecting in his sunglasses on the 2nd….) #Fail

Rule from day one… just enjoy your new iPhone… because it’s an amazing phone and try to focus on how amazing it is… instead of possible (or “i heard-of”) flaws.

I never had any issues with the durability of any iPhones I had before, except the i5 where it fell out of a moving vehicle (don’t ask how). i think this bendgate is blown out of proportion.

If those kids keep at doing what they do I wouldn’t be surprised if they ever get nominated for the Darwin awards… Verry dumb video.

I actually considered trying to test-bend one of the demo phones at Best Buy at one point…but then decided not to because it was a stupid idea.

I guess at least there’s someone dumber than me out there.
