Canadian Videogame Awards Winners Announced, Hitman GO Wins ‘Best iOS Game’

On Friday, the 2013 and 2014 winners for the Canadian Videogame Awards were announced across 17 different categories. The winners were revealed at an annual event held in the heart of downtown Toronto.

All the winners were announced from a list of 57 finalists, all of which represented work developed in Canada. The “Best iOS Game” of 2014 award was rewarded to Hitman GO, which also won the award for “Best Game Design”.

Ubisoft scored big at the awards ceremony, taking several awards for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (2013) and Watch Dogs (2014), including “Game of the Year”. The 2014 awards were dominated by Ubisoft’s Child of Light, which took home five trophies.

This year’s show was live streamed on Twitch and will be broadcasted on G4 Canada on November 29 at 6pm, 9pm and 12am and November 30 at 2pm, 7pm and 11pm.
