Apple’s Free iOS App of the Week: ProCam XL 2

ProCam XL 2 by Samer Azzam is Apple’s free app of the week. The app normally retails for $2.49 and is free for this week only.

ProCam offers a professional-grade camera experience both in terms of user interface and camera functionality to iOS users. The app is intuitive and easy enough for beginners who want the best quality photos and videos, but with all the versatility of customized settings that a pro-photographer requires.

The app offers users a choice of 12 shooting modes, including Single Shot, Night Mode, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Burst, and Anti-Shake. Here is a list of a few of the camera functions available in the app:

– Lossless TIFF format – iPad mini and later only

– Manual shutter speed/exposure time control (1/8 sec / 1/4 sec / 1/2 sec / 1 sec)

– Video pause/resume functionality

– Adjustable video resolution (Full HD: 1080p / HD:720p / VGA: 640×480 / Low:480×360)

– Adjustable video frame rate (30 fps / 24 fps / 15 fps / 5 fps)

– User defined video frame rate (1-30 fps)

ProCam XL 2 is available as a free download (normally $2.49) from the App Store. The app requires any iOS device running iOS 7 or later, and it has been optimized for the iPhone 5, 6, and 6 Plus. The app contains in-app purchases that range from $1.49 to $5.99.
