why is it 29,99 when you choose to ship to the US and it’s 34,99 to ship International. Buying from Canada is actually 45,99 with the conversion. let us buy it at 29$ and it will be fair.

you need to educate yourself on why things cost more in canada compared to the USA. watching cbc’s marketplace would be a good start :p

aside from that, the vast majority of people especially cross border shoppers have no idea how to properly calculate exchange rates. they often fool themselves into thinking they’re paying less than they really are.

with the above deal, it makes no mention if the product is billed in what currency. canada post generally allows items to come through without customs and duty fees for less than $20. This item will cost more and you should expect to pay duty, PST and GST. the cost is definitely misleading and Gary should know better for not including the “true” estimated amount of the item one can expect to pay.

Although this is true, it’s not for all shipments with CP. Canada Post very rarely, charges duty. I’ve had literally over 100 of items shipped from the US via USPS/Canada Post over the years (all over $20), and have only been charged duty a handful of times. The cost wasn’t much at all, considering the high priced items purchased. UPS Standard Ground (and even FedEx) on the other hand, is a totally different – They WILL charge you “brokerage fee” AND duty with every shipment, expect to pay a COD when receiving the package.

you must have people at the post office who like you because like those weight loss commercials, your results are not typical 🙂

you’re spot on though about courier companies. never ever use them unless you can get something in writing that says they will waive all brokerage fees.
