iPad Air 2 Gets $50 Price Drop, 128GB No Longer Offered
Apple today announced the 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and in doing also discounted the iPad Air 2, plus ditched the 128GB option in Canada and the U.S.
Below is a screenshot of Apple.ca and the prices available, which are now $50 CAD cheaper compared to the original launch prices in fall of 2014.

Below are the updated iPad Air 2 prices (followed by U.S. prices which saw a $100 US drop):
- 16GB Wi-Fi for $499 CAD (was $549); in the US: $399
- 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular for $639 CAD (was $689); in the US: $529
- 64GB Wi-Fi for $609 CAD (was $659); in the US: $499
- 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular for $749 CAD (was $799); in the US: $629
Again, the 128GB capacity is no longer offered. There’s no word on how much longer the iPad Air 2 will last, but it should stick around for at least another year, as it’s still capable with its A8X CPU.
If you’re not ready for the 9.7-inch iPad Pro yet, the iPad Air 2 just got a bit cheaper, which is helpful given how exchange rates aren’t exactly in the favour of Canadians right now.

lol they kept the 16GB modes but ditched the 128GB models. I think what customers wanted was to not be gauged by the inflated price of the 128GB model, not get rid of it. Geez.
I guess $50 is better than nothing but still at theses prices….ugh.
It really sucks that we get a $50 drop, but it’s dropped by $100 in the US.
I mean sure, 50 is better than nothing, i guess. 100 would have been better
Pricing seems to be inline with current exchange rate actually a little cheaper than US pricing.
