Last week Fido launched a promo where it doubled the data on select 500MB and 1GB BYOP calling plans, which was quickly ‘matched’ by Virgin Mobile. The offers were set to expire June 6 from Virgin, but they have now been kindly extended to June 13.
These BYOP plans are priced at $40 per month with 1GB data and 500 Canada-wide anytime minutes, while the $50 plan comes with 2GB of data and the same number of minutes. Both plans include unlimited evenings and weekends from 5pm, plus the usual extras.

While the fine print says these promo plans are limited to new activations, some RFD customers have been able to successfully call in and switch to the promo plans, so it’s worth a shot to inquire about them.
Thanks CK!
