iPhone 7 May Get Apple Pencil Support [Rumour]

You may already be familiar with Steve Jobs’ famous comment: “If you see a stylus, they blew it.” A lot has happened since then, such as Apple launching the Pencil, which works with the iPad. Daring Fireball’s John Gruber spotted a rather interesting comment from CEO Tim Cook the other day, which prompted him to conclude that the iPhone 7 may get Apple Pencil support.

In an interview with NDTV, Tim Cook said:

NDTV: Has that voice never come to you? For example when you launched the pencil and you know what Steve said,’ if you see a stylus they blew it’, when you launched that pencil?

Tim Cook: Well we launched a pencil not a stylus, first of all, and there’s a big difference and the things that people are doing with this pencil, I think that Steve would have loved. He loved to help people create. And if you’ve ever seen what can be created on an iPhone or an iPad with that pencil is really unbelievable. You should really show some of these to your audience.

Since the Apple Pencil works only with the iPad Pro, Cook’s comment can be interpreted in two ways: Either the iPhone 7 will not support the Pencil or Cook accidentally gave away a feature Apple is planning.

Why? I mean why buy an apple pen, when any of those dollar store stylus pens work just as well?

I had those third-party styluses and stopped using them. Then I got the iPad Pro and the Apple Pencil. God, the difference. Now I am using the Pencil all of the time. At home and at work. It is obvious you do not have the Pencil so you do not know what you are talking about.
