Apple Considering Releasing ‘Jet White’ iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Finish [REPORT]

According to Japanese website Macotakara, Apple is considering releasing the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in a new white color. Rumoured to be called ‘Jet White’, the high-gloss white color will serve as a counterpart to the Jet Black version of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

The release of a new colorway means that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus would be available in six colors in total. There is no information on when we can expect the color, however. Macotakara correctly predicted that Apple would release an iPhone in Jet Black as well as remove the headphone jack from the smartphone. Whether the website is correct regarding the new color is a matter of time.

Ever since the original iPhone, Apple has not added a new color to an existing iPhone hardware design; new colors are introduced as part of next-generation redesigns. For example, Apple added the Gold color with iPhone 5s and Rose Gold with iPhone 6s.

The color is reminiscent of the white iPhone 3GS, which had a glossy design, as well as the release of the white iPhone 4. Both white phones proved to be very popular, creating very long waiting lists.

Apple initially struggled to make a completely white iPhone due to light leakage in prototypes. The solution was an extra thick layer of paint, making the white devices slightly thicker than those found in black.

Would anyone be excited to see a Jet White iPhone release?
