Beats X Earphones Release in December Claims Reports

Frys

As we approach the holiday shopping season, a couple of wireless BeatsX earphones release dates have surfaced, but since Apple doesn’t talk, the discrepancies are just adding more confusion to the mix.

A Reddit user has spotted a BeatsX listing on Fry Electronics putting the “estimated” shipping date at December 5. You can add the product to the cart, but nothing happens afterwards (as of writing this article). The pre-order option is not available.

Another retailer, B&H (via MacRumors), also lists BeatsX, but it sets the expected availability to December 16, so there is an 11-day difference between the two expected availability dates. B&H customers, however, can pre-order the product or request an alert when it’s in stock. The BeatsX earphones have the same price of $149.95 in both retail stores.

Apple’s online store isn’t much help here either, because it continues to list the product as “coming this fall”. But, you know, winter is coming …

Just like the courageous AirPods, the BeatsX seem to be surrounded by confusing launch date rumours. The earphones were announced at the iPhone 7 media event this September and include Apple’s W1 chip enabling easy pairing with the iPhone.
