Latest Apple Campus 2 Updates Detailed by Drones [VIDEOS]
Apple is currently constructing a new campus, known as Apple Campus 2, not far from its existing one in Cupertino, California. The look of the new building is quite other-worldly — it’s something that seems to be taken straight out of science fiction. A giant, shimmering loop coated in solar panels, it looks breathtakingly impressive and possesses that distinct “bold new future vibe.”
Now, the latest footage of Apple‘s new Campus 2 headquarters shot by drone pilot Duncan Sinfield reveals that construction is continuing to progress, with signs of work on the canopies, walkways, and plants around the campus buildings despite recent poor weather.
Flying over the site, you can see the huge circular shape that dominates the vicinity and has since become the campus’ defining feature. Atop of the ellipse is an extensive array of solar paneling which, apparently, is roughly 65 percent complete. To speed up the construction process, wide atrium doors have been opened up fully to allow workers easy access to the site.
Though muddy now due to the rain Cupertino has been seeing of late, the center of the campus will feature a tree-filled garden for campus staff. The first trees, in fact, have just been planted.
Apple Campus 2 employees are expected to move into the facility later this year. Check out the impressive drone footage below.
Also, as expected, another drone video from Matthew Roberts has been uploaded today too, showcasing another view of this spectacular campus update:
