Battery Test: Samsung Galaxy S8+ vs Apple iPhone 7 Plus
While Samsung has been singing the praises of the Galaxy S8+ since its unveiling last week, it’s been pretty tight-lipped about one important thing that the company has been in the spotlight for recently: battery life.

Samsung’s Galaxy S8+ is one of the most, if not the most, powerful smartphone currently on the market and its battery life was just put to the test by smartphone blog Phone Arena, and the results may surprise you.
According to the report, the Galaxy S8+’s 3500mAh battery managed to perform excellently in the website’s endurance tests. The smartphone has enough juice to edge out the iPhone 7 (1,960 mAh battery) during the test, but its battery fell short compared to Apple’s larger flagship, the iPhone 7 Plus (2,900 mAh battery), despite the latter and its smaller battery.
“The Galaxy S8+ battery life test result stands at exactly 8 hours,” reads the report. “Compare this with the 7 hours and 18 minutes that the already very good Galaxy S7 Edge scored, and you see that Samsung has managed to improve on their last year’s phone. The S8+ also bests the Google Pixel XL, the OnePlus 3T, but falls a bit short of the battery life on the iPhone 7 Plus.”
Apart from great overall battery life, Phone Arena‘s tests also concluded that the Galaxy S8+ managed to charge from zero to 100 percent in just 1 hour and 40 minutes. The device also supports fast wireless charging, which takes slightly longer, though without the use of a charging cable.

I prefer a non explosive battery to a little more performance 🙂
Samsung is clearly leading in terms of hardware. Apple really needs to step it up this fall.
agreed, Apple always had battery life and now they don’t even have that. If Apple doesn’t bring their A fucking + game this year I might jump ship.
Sent from my MacBook beside my iPhone 7, watching Apple TV…
What a waste of 1000+ dollar.
Does battery life matters when I can charge my phone in 30 min or just drop it on my desk and it charges? NO! Do my iPhone 7p needs it ? No because last all day! However the winner is always fast charging
