Uber to Request Lethbridge City Council Make a Minor Tweak to City’s Bylaws

According to a new report from the Lethbridge Herald, an Uber representative will request that the city council of Lethbridge make a minor tweak to the city’s bylaws.

If the request were fulfilled, the city of Lethbridge would align their bylaws with the province’s ride sharing standard. This would allow Uber to begin operating in the city. The meeting was scheduled for 1:30pm this afternoon.

Uber is currently operating legally in more than 40 cities across Canada, with more than 1.6 million Canadians using the service.
