Rogers Adjusts Share Plans Data Allotments and Prices

Today, Rogers has quietly updated their Share plans. In addition to the introduction of several new plan offerings with various data allotments, all existing plans got a price cut.

The Canadian carrier replaced its 1GB, 5GB, 15GB, 30GB and 60GB plans with 2GB, 4GB, 6GB, 10GB, 20GB, 40GB and 80GB plans. Here are the 10GB, 20GB, and 40GB plans, which dropped $10-$25 from the price of the previous comparable plans:

All the new plans are competitive with the former plan prices, while giving customers more data for their hard-earned money.

These prices are AFTER the price cut? Insane. Absolutely insane. Even if I pay for overages (15$/GB) on my 4 GB Fido promo plan it’ll cost less than that.

I have 5+2gb promo on Rogers so no new plan will match that. On top my epp 30% discount so that’s $73.50 for 7gb.

Are the people at Rogers on drugs? Who in their right mind would pay these crazy prices? I have 6gb unlimited calling Canada wide and unlimited SMS for $60 with Fido. On Rogers the same plan is $130.

Fine for you, but that plan is not available for anyone wanting a new line at the moment.

For any cord-cutting hockey fans, the free game centre will add some value… But then the regional blackouts are a cold slap in the face to that idea. (VPN still works). The thing about Rogers is because their plans are high, they are ripe to be exploited. You just need to know how.
