Virgin Mobile Home Internet Launches 50Mbps Unlimited Plan for $60

Bell’s flanker brand, Virgin Mobile, has quietly made some changes to their Home Internet offerings, according to an internal document seen by MobileSyrup.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Home Internet 5: now has unlimited monthly usage (previously 50GB) for $50 (price hike of $15) per month
  • Home Internet 50 debuts: 50Mbps down, 10Mbps up with unlimited usage for $60/month

Virgin Mobile Home Internet is also expanding to existing Bell DSL users, with a ‘Home Internet Base’ plan, offering up to 5Mbps down and up to 800Kbps up with 50GB of monthly usage for $35, or $50 for unlimited usage.

Bell has also made changes so usage cycles will now line up with a customer’s billing cycle, while also adding new usage history options for customers to see six months back.

Back in February, we saw Virgin Mobile drop prices of their Home Internet offerings, but these latest tweaks change things yet again.

Rogers’ sub-brand Fido also offerings Home Internet as well, with their lowest tier offering up to 5Mbps down and 1Mbps up for $35/month, while their higher end up to 75Mbps down and 10Mbps up plan with unlimited usage costs $65 per month (200GB usage is available for $60/month).

I’ve never had an issue with Bell’s transmission at my previous two residences.
