I hope they address the battery drain issue on the original Watch. I used to get 18hrs+ out of its battery – now I’m lucky to get to 12h (and that’s with stock apps and a basic watch face).
I’ve got the original watch and haven’t noticed a problem, so you may have a unique problem.. sometimes I notice my charger isn’t quite on when I don’t pay enough attention.
I put the watch on my wrist at 7:30AM today (battery at 100%). It’s 3:30PM and the battery is showing 42%. I haven’t done anything special (besides sitting on my butt at my desk and going out for lunch). I’m thinking of unpairing/pairing it. Note that I haven’t installed any beta version on the watch at any point.
I wish the Watch app had a battery section where it listed the power hogging apps/tasks like we have on the iPhone/iPad.
It seems to have settled down now. Watch battery was fine Yesterday (~65% left after 11hrs). I didn’t do anything other than reboot it – which I had done in the past.
