CIBC Confirms Face ID Support for iPhone X Coming Soon

iPhone X users of the CIBC Mobile Banking app have been patiently waiting for the app to support Face ID for logins, and now the Canadian bank has confirmed it’s coming to customers.

The CIBC iPhone app has a new pop-up message, which read “Coming soon! Use Face ID to access and help protect your banking.”

Some other banking apps support Face ID, but apps such as TD Canada required users to re-enable Touch ID settings for Face ID to work properly. Last week, Scotiabank updated their app for Face ID.

If you’ve been waiting for Face ID support to arrive for your iPhone X and the CIBC Mobile Banking app, an update is coming soon, so you shouldn’t have to wait much longer.

What other banking apps are you seeing Face ID issues with on iPhone X?

Thanks Jason!
