Bell Media has announced customers can now stream CraveTV on Amazon Fire TV Basic Edition, adding another platform for the streaming service. To date, CraveTV is available on iOS, Android, Microsoft Windows 8.1, the web, Apple TV, Chromecast, and select Samsung Smart TVs. The streaming service costs $7.99 per month.
Tracey Pearce, President, Distribution and Pay, Bell Media, said in a press release, “The addition of this new platform reinforces our commitment to delivering CraveTV and its best-in-class programming lineup to Canadians, how they want, when they want, and where they want”.
Amazon’s Fire TV Basic Edition finally launched in Canada last November, and is currently priced at $49.99.
Earlier this month, as part of Bell Media’s exclusive rights to HBO Canada, the company announced Game of Thrones was coming to its library, in a staggered launch instead of all at once. Seasons one through three will debut on February 16, while seasons four and five will follow afterwards, with six and seven added later this year.
