TD Canada Promo Offers $5 Free to Promote Mobile Cheque Deposits
TD Canada has launched a promotion to educate and promote mobile cheque deposits through their iOS app, by offering customers $5 for free.

According to a TD customer service representative we spoke with, customers just need to visit a TD Canada Trust branch, bring their own cheque and then will be shown how to make a mobile deposit. Once this is complete, customers will be given $5.
The move looks to encourage customers to deposit cheques via their smartphones, instead of showing up at TD branches, therefore eliminating lines at tellers. However, during this promo, if people are indeed learning how to make a mobile deposit, expect some longer waits for those new to this technology.
TD Canada launched mobile cheque deposits during the fall of 2014. Their iOS app has not been updated for iPhone X yet. Let us know if you’re going to try this!

Pretty disappointed that there still isn’t an iPhone X version of the app yet
Agreed. It needs Face ID support ASAP.
TD’s banking app already supports Face ID. Any account you have set up to use Touch ID also supports Face ID out of the box on an iPhone X
Not the TD app. It never works.
My TD app in my iPhone X works flawlessly with Face ID. Not a single issue at all.
I went back into the app disabled it and re enabled it and it works now!
Hmm, that’s too bad. My X will let me get into my personal account with Face ID on the app. I was never even able to set up Touch ID for either of my business accounts, so no Face ID there.
Honestly, iOS has been hit or miss with all sorts of features working or not. The struggles I have with three-way calling the last few months is maddening. And iOS’s default weather widget not updating 95% of time is useless. I feel your pain.
Mine has never worked, but since you say yours works I’m going to try a few different things. Thanks for the heads up!
Got it to go! I just disabled it in app and re enabled it. Thanks again!
I tried 3 times last week to deposit a check and the app could not match the amount on the check. I had to use a bank machine.
That’s interesting. Was this a hand written cheque? I’ve used the mobile deposit feature quite a lot the last year, but only with machine printed cheques; never a problem. Haven’t been to my bank in nearly a year now too.
It was not a hand written check. Clearly printed.
The monkeys working at TD are idiots and their pathetic app is an apt reflection of that.
No iMessage integration.
No Siri integration.
Insufficient account/transaction information displayed.
Maybe I’m the idiot for being a TD customer. I’m sure they’re laughing at all of their gullible customers.
it still better then the BMO app :'( even though BMO just refreshed their app :'(
