Apple Ranked Sixth in LinkedIn’s 2018 List of Top Companies to Work [u]
LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network on the internet, announced today the launch of the 2018 LinkedIn Top Companies list.

The annual ranking highlights the 50 companies that are most sought-after by United States-based professionals, based on proprietary LinkedIn data that examines billions of actions by more than 540 million professionals on LinkedIn.
According to the data gathered by the professional networking firm, Apple is the sixth most desirable company to work for in the US, up from 7th place in 2017.
LinkedIn highlights Apple’s maternity leave policy (18 weeks for new moms, six weeks for dads), their willingness to freeze eggs for those who prefer to defer parenthood, and the generous 25 percent discount on the company’s devices.
“We look at the actions of professionals, what people are doing, the jobs that are really sought after these days, rather than just what they’re saying,” LinkedIn news editor Laura Lorenzetti says.
The Top Companies list is based on the billions of actions taken by LinkedIn members and looks at four main pillars: interest in the company, engagement with the company’s employees, job demand and employee retention.
In the United States, Amazon (No. 1) dethrones reigning top company Alphabet (No. 2) for the first time since the list’s inception in 2016. Following a tumultuous business year for both Uber and Twitter, Uber falls from No. 5 to No. 12 and Twitter dips the furthest in the rankings (No. 17 to No. 43).
Meanwhile, newcomers comprise over 30% of the list and represent a range of industries including retail (LVMH No. 19 and Nike No. 35) and sports (the NBA No. 33 and the NFL No. 39). The list excludes LinkedIn and Microsoft (LinkedIn’s parent company) from consideration as is standard for all editorial efforts.

Ok this list is F$$$ED…. It’s either paid or LinkedIn has absolutely no damn clue where people want to work….
Look at the US one!!!
1. Amazon?!? Are you kidding me??? They are borderline criminal to they’re workforce. They have multiple lawsuits against them because of it!
Google ??? Lawsuit against discrimination..
Facebook ??? People who have worked there have said it’s a F’d place to work…
Uber has had multiple lawsuits against them for sexual harassment… Plus the insane amount of illegal stuff they’ve made their employee’s do..
Honestly this ridiculous to the extreme. I don’t think I’d want to work for any of these companies. Yes they make good products but I’ve never heard of a single one of that list treat their developers with any respect what’s so ever.
