Shaw Integrates YouTube into BlueSky TV Platform

Today, Shaw Communications announced that they will be integrating YouTube and YouTube Kids into its BlueSky TV platform.
Users will be able to stream content to their TVs without requiring an additional set-top box or a smart TV. In a statement, President of Shaw Communications Chris Kucharski said:
“The addition of YouTube to Shaw BlueSky TV allows Shaw customers to spend less time searching for their favourite videos and more time watching them. Whether they’re entertaining friends and family, listening to a playlist or following a tutorial, our customers can have their content all in one easy-to-use platform — and it’s all just a voice command away.”
BlueSky TV subscribers will be able to use their voice-powered remote to search for specific content on YouTube. Families will also have access to YouTube Kids, providing a safe way for kids to access their favourite content right on the television.
BlueSky TV customers will be able to stream YouTube videos without worrying about overage charges if they bundle their TV subscription with Shaw WideOpen Internet 150. The bundle is available for $65 for the first six months of a 2-year contract.
