Public Mobile Promo Brings Back $40 Plan with 4.5GB of 3G Data
Telus-owned Public Mobile has announced this morning they have brought back their promo $40 per month plan with 4.5GB of 3G data, as part of a “competitive response,” for a limited time only.

This plan is a response to Bell prepaid brand, Lucky Mobile, as they currently have the same promo plan right now. Here’s what the Public Mobile plan entails:
$40 for 4.5 GB at 3G speed
- 30-day plan
- 4.5 GB of data at 3G speed
- Unlimited Canada-wide Talk
- Unlimited International Text and Picture Messaging
- New and current customers are eligible
While Public Mobile advertises 3G speeds, their network is actually still on LTE, but with limited speeds at 3 Mbps or so; some users have seen higher speeds in certain situations.
Currently, there is a promo at western Canada retailer, London Drugs, where if you activate a Public Mobile plan in-store, you get $20 credit.
Back in June, Public Mobile debuted this promo plan as a response to a promo from Rogers prepaid brand, Chatr. Now this $40/4.5GB 3G data plan has returned to match Lucky Mobile.
