Rogers Beats Profit Expectations in Q2 2018, Add 122,000 Wireless Subscribers

Rogers Communications reported its second-quarter results today, announcing a profit of $538 million which is up from $528 million last year.
The Canadian carrier’s total revenue totalled $3.76 billion, which was boosted from $3.62 billion last year due to its growth in wireless subscribers. During their second quarter, Rogers added a total of 122,000 wireless subscribers. In a statement, CEO Joe Natale said:
“We delivered another strong quarter with solid financial and operating results, led by exceptional results in wireless.”
Rogers beat analysts expectations for profit growth this quarter. On an adjusted basis, the company said that it earned a total of $1.07 per diluted share.
