Freedom Mobile has continued their rollout of Voice over LTE (VoLTE), with today’s announcement bringing the feature to Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia XZ2 smartphones.

VoLTE allows customers to use voice and data simultaneously over LTE networks, allowing for faster call connections and higher voice quality.
Currently, Freedom has rolled out VoLTE for the LG G6/G7, Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy S9/S9+, LG V30/Q6/Q Stylo+/X Power 3, Motorola Moto G6 Play/E5 Play and today with Sony Xperia phones.
As for iPhone users? We thought iOS 12 would be the big day VoLTE would arrive, but that didn’t materialize. Maybe keep your eyes open for when iOS 12.1 is released for the public (developers received the beta yesterday).
