Apple Highlights Best ‘Shot on iPhone Xs’ Photos from Around the Globe
Apple has just issued a press release sharing some handpicked photos taken by iPhone Xs customers who shared them on social media with the #ShotoniPhone hash tag:
Amateurs and pros alike are taking advantage of the breakthrough 12MP dual camera system on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max. New features like Smart HDR, advanced bokeh in Portrait mode and the ability to change the depth of field with Depth Control are all huge improvements in state-of-the-art photographic techniques that everyone can use.
These images were pulled from the passionate and talented users who post every day to #ShotoniPhone across social media.
The pictures shared include a bunch taken with Portrait mode and also others which take advantage of the new Smart HDR feature on iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.
Apple looks to have employees constantly searching through photos tagged with #ShotoniPhone. For images that catch their eye, users are contacted about their photo being used by the company. For example, here is what one Apple employee asked user ‘kaytch’ on Instagram:

May have ended up upgrading to an iPhone XS yesterday. Have to say, I’m loving the fact I can adjust depth of field, and finally the camera focusses on my dog in portrait mode! #ShotOniPhoneXS pic.twitter.com/OJBdkYLzAz
