Apple to Donate $1 to (RED) with Apple Pay Purchases at Apple Stores, Online and Retail App
World AIDS Day was on November 30, 2018, and Apple celebrated by lighting up Apple logos at retail stores to the colour red. CEO Tim Cook said on Twitter, “Together, we can achieve an AIDS-free generation.”

A new promotion to raise funds towards (RED) also kicked off yesterday as well. Apple says for every purchase made via Apple Pay at Apple Stores, online on Apple.ca or through the company’s retail app, they will donate $1 towards the fight against AIDS:
From December 1 through 7, Apple will donate $1 to (RED) for every purchase made with Apple Pay at an Apple Store, on Apple.com or through the Apple Store app.
The App Store has a (RED) feature story, detailing more about the fight against HIV/AIDS. It says two pills taken twice per day over two months can bring ill HIV patients back to health, with the life-saving medication cost only at up to 20 cents per day, in sub-Saharan Africa.
Apple to date has donated $200 million USD towards (RED) to help fight AIDS, as announced last week.
