First Alert Announces Onelink Bell Smart Doorbell System: Works with Alexa, Google

First Alert has announced an addition to its Onelink smart home products: the Onelink Bell doorbell system.

According to a press release from the company, the all-new Onelink Bell doorbell system brings a number of features that allow for more control over monitoring one’s home.

Featuring 1080p HD live video, motion detection, and two-way audio, the Onelink Bell is able to wirelessly connect with other Onelink devices, sounding the doorbell through existing Onelink smoke alarms.

The Onelink Bell doorbell system is also compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing users to ask either AI assistant what is happening outside one’s door and have it reported back to them.

The company also offers a subscription service that allows users to save up to 30 days of recorded video in its cloud.

“As smart home capabilities continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible, Onelink is right there — offering simple, integrated solutions that take full advantage of the best that today’s connected home technology offers,” says Tom Russo, vice president of marketing and new product development at First Alert.

No pricing or release date has been announced yet for the Onelink, but we’ll keep you updated.

Last month, First Alert launched the Onelink Safe and Sound HomeKit compatible smoke alarm and carbon monoxide smoke detector in Canada. No word why this new doorbell doesn’t support HomeKit, however.
