Koodo Confirms ‘No Plans’ to Increase Price of $60/10GB Promo Plan

Last week, Telus informed customers that its $60/10GB promotional plan will be increasing to $70 per month starting in April. Fortunately, its flanker brand Koodo will not be following suit, with pricing set to remain unchanged for now.

“At this time, there are no plans to increase the $60/10GB promotional BYOD plan for Koodo customers,” a Koodo spokesperson confirmed to iPhone in Canada.

Rogers and Fido, followed by Bell and Virgin Mobile, have also announced price increases for their $60/10GB promotional plans over the next month. Koodo will be the only flanker brand to continue offering the original $60 price.

New prices:

  • Rogers and Fido: $65 per month starting in February 2019
  • Bell and Virgin Mobile: $65 per month starting in March 2019
  • Telus: $70 per month starting in April 2019
  • Koodo: $60 per month

Canada’s “big three” wireless carriers all offered this popular $60/10GB promotional plan for a few days back in December 2017, as a result of a stunning price war sparked by Shaw’s Freedom Mobile.
